In celebration of the bicentennial of Charles Darwin’s birth [February 12, 1809 – same day and same year as Abraham Lincoln] the San Diego Natural History Museum hosted “The Darwin Symposium”. We reprise this event that featured presentations and a lively panel discussion including questions from an audience made up of students from local universities. Panelists included J. David Archibald, Professor of Biology and Mark Wheeler, Associate Professor of Philosophy of San Diego State University, Mary Sue Lowery, Professor of Biology of University of San Diego and Mark H. Mann, Associate Professor of Theology and Director of the Wesleyan Center, Point Loma Nazarene University. The Science Network’s Roger Bingham moderated the discussion.
