John Young talks with Roger Bingham about the difference between the common cold virus and HIV and why finding treatments for viruses is a moving target.

John A. T. Young is a professor in the Infectious Disease Laboratory at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. His group studies the cell biology of virus infection and anthrax intoxication, particularly focused on cellular factors that HIV and other retroviruses use in early stages of infection.
