The Glenn Foundation Symposium Panel

Bruce Yankner, Monica Driscoll, Brian Kennedy, Heidi Tissenbaum

Bruce Yankner is a Professor of Pathology and Neurology at Harvard Medical School. His research is focused on investigating the systems biology of the aging human brain by defining transcriptional changes and sites of age related DNA damage on a genome wide scale.

Monica Driscoll is a Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Rutgers University. Her research is focused on understanding molecular mechanisms of neuronal function including touch sensation, neuronal degeneration and aging using C. elegans.

Brian Kennedy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Washington. His research is focused on understanding the molecular determinants of aging using a combination of model organisms, taking advantage of their relative strengths.

Heidi Tissenbaum is an Associate Professor in the Program in Gene Function and Expression at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Her research is focused on determining molecular mechanisms of aging using C. elegans and the relationship between fat storage and life span.
