Michael Tarr is a Professor of Psychology and Co-director of the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition at Carnegie Mellon University. His research is focused on object and face representation and recognition, perceptual categorization, learning and expertise, and the role of surgace properties in object perception and recognition.
