Mary Armanios is assistant professor of Oncology at Johns Hopkins University. Her lab is interested in the biology and genetics of age-related disease, specifically, syndromes of telomere shortening which capture both the degenerative and cancer-prone phenotypes of aging. The goal of her research is to understand the genetics and pathophysiology of telomere-mediated disorders in hopes of delineating translational approaches to their treatment.
