John Gurdon is a Distinguished Group Leader and an Emeritus Professor in the Zoology Department at Cambridge University. He is a Foreign Associate of the US National Academy of Science, a Member of European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), and a Member of the Academie Europea. Gurdon was also a founding member of The Wellcome Trust/Cancer Research and The Gurdon Institute. His research is focused on Stem Cell research, nuclear transfer, messenger RNA expression and intercellular signaling factors.
