This is an overview of how the brain is injured on the battlefield, the road map to developing novel diagnostics and therapeutic strategies for brain injury, and how to build the tools and scientists to launch the effort.

Kevin Kit Parker, PhD is the Thomas D. Cabot Associate Professor of Applied Science at Harvard University. Parker studies cardiac cell biology and tissue engineering, traumatic brain injury, and biological applications of micro- and nanotechnologies.
