Nir Barzilai is the Ingeborg and Ira Leon Rennert Chair of Aging Research and director of the Institute for Aging Research and the Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He leads the Longevity Genes Project studying a cohort of over 500 subjects ranging from 95-112 years old - the SuperAgers.
Ana Maria Cuervo is a Professor in the Department of Developmental and Molecular Biology and Co-Director of the Institute for Aging Research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her research is focused on identifying the defects that lead to the decreased activity of chaperone-mediated autophagy with age and how to correct and improve cellular function.
