Linda Smith is Chancellor's Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences in IU Bloomington's College of Arts and Sciences, where she has taught and conducted research since 1977. Smith studies the development of human cognition.In 1997, Smith and Esther Thelen published the book, A Dynamic Systems Approach to the Development of Cognition and Action.
